I need to quit and get out asap
I'm an entry level analyst and I need to quit my job. The hard part is that my contract states that I have to give three weeks notice, and I need out by the end of the week. Is that ever a possibility or am I being way too unrealistic?
The problem is, I don't have another job to go to at the moment, so I can't give that as my reason for getting out in four days. The only reasons I can give are pretty weak ones, like "I need to sort out some personal stuff," "I need to sort out moving house (which I'm in the middle of)" and "I want some much needed time off."
Is there anything I can do or say in order for them to allow me to leav asap? Or if it says 3 weeks minimum in the contract, as that normally set in stone?
thanks for any advice
Why do you need to get out so bad?
you could just leave. nobody forces you to go. get yourself fired and collect some unemployment. or you could not be a retard and quit a job as a PE Analyst.
they oftentimes waive the notice period - sometimes, they cart you off on the day you tender your resignation. Otherwise, just talk to them and see what happens.
I am curious too - why do you need to get out so bad? I hated my last job, and even then I served one month notice (of course I WAS surfing the net all day and being a complete deadweight during that time).
I am curious as to why you call yourself an "entry level analyst" (uh, aren't all analysts entry-level?) instead of something more normal like a 1st year.
