Infra / Cleantech Funds

Hey all, This is sort of a follow up to a previous post of mine, I currently work in PWM with an upcoming internship in AM. I recently posted about whether it would be worth it to try to recruit off cycle to ER and was met with some great insight to stay in PWM. Thinking long term career wise, I really enjoy renewables and clean tech, and I’d love for the opportunity to work in an infra fund, but given my non-target background and lack of IB experience, is this a lost cause? Is there a pathway? As much as all careers in finance are about money, if I was to pick what I’m actually interested in, I would want to work in that industry, but I’m no Elon musk; No 200IQ and no rocket science degrees, and am thinking infra funds would be a great way to become involved in the field? Thoughts?

Thanks for the reply! When you say extremely difficult, do you mean difficult or truly impossible? I’m willing to do whatever I can
