Is Private Credit a more viable long-term career compared to Private Equity?
Currently an analyst on the buyside at a 1bn aum fund. Do you guys think that when you take into the account the risk of burnout, and the fact that it seems like it is harder to move into the higher roles like VP or Director that PC might be a better risk adjusted long term career? From what I have read on this form and heard from friends, they have said it is a better environment to work in because it is better people who are not as hardos/cut throat and much better hours.
Let me know what you guys think, I could be totally wrong on this opinion, would love to hear your opinions on this topic.
