IVEY HBA VS IU KELLEY
Which school would be the best to try and shoot for top consulting or PE? Any advice would be appreciated, especially on IVEY placement in NYC.

If you have authorization to work in the US, then obviously Ivey. What is Kelley?
Kelley is the the business school at Indiana University
Ivey bar far. If you can get into IB workshop at IU then you have a good chance but it's a huge school, and if you don't get in your chances of breaking into a decent bank are slim.

Ivey placement in the US, both East Coast and West Coast as well as IB and straight-PE (lots of Silverlake analyst hires) are very impressive
Ivey's US finance placement since Trump Administration's visa policy changes have not been too great. At the moment, you still have a ton of first and second-year Ivey analysts at all the top BBs/EBs, but the incoming first-years and incoming SAs have dwindled significantly.
What if I’m from the US
Then you’re fine. The only issues have been visas. If you let companies know that you’re an American citizen in the networking phase you will have no problem getting interviews.
Even then, there will be no OCR or even postings for a lot of firms that saw Ivey as a target (Ares, GS NY/LA, Moelis). There will be significantly less upper-years or first/second-year Ivey analysts at these firms as well. Evidently the brand will still be there, but the pull will be less. You will have to do a lot of your own networking without warm connections.
