absolutely not re: capitalizing R&D. That's the one thing we associates and VPs hate to see in banker materials. We always add back software capex into operating expenses.
R&D costs go in R&D, NOT cap software.

For a business that charges a subscription and get's paid annual up front, revenue recognition and deferred revenue is nuanced. As a result, a growing businesses with these economics will have operating cash flow that's ahead of GAAP EBITDA in many cases.
