Lateral market - anything happening?

Is ANYTHING happening? I’m getting so burnt out at my current place, hate my life everyday here.

I have applied to tens of jobs and never got even one interview, save for some corpdev entry level roles.

Currently AS2 at multi-billion PE fund with prior Top MM (HL/WB/Baird) experience, closed 5 deals, top bucket. What the fuck?

All the HHs placing to funds with total AUM lower than my fund’s last fund ghost me lol.

Was even trying some corpdevs and they’re only coming with M&A analyst spots to where I would work with some non-target grads.

Don't have anything super useful to say except that we're now hiring for a senior associate role at my large, tech PE focused firm in the NYC office. I hear from the hiring managers that the caliber of talent they see is off the charts because there isn't much else available...

I went to a target, have worked for almost 5 years, always top bucket, currently at a fund working with people from Tier1 backgrounds and you’re being sarcastic here?

How would being on THE SAME position that some Queen Mary grad who is just one year after school not an actual horror?

Get over yourself. You worked at a MM and then a JAMMBO nobody has heard of. Like you said, you're 5 years out so can't rely on your target school to hide your mediocrity.
