Still not great. All the people I know at funds have said recruiting for mid and entry-level roles has been pushed forward into 1Q25.

Spend 2 hours a day on linkedin reaching out to people in more niche funds and strategies (not the super megas / well known on this forum) asking to chat, then I hit the gym and have been trying to pick up part time work. out of 20 messages I maybe get 1 response, which is always "not hiring rn but will lyk." Life is pretty chill...until I run out of money...

 

same boat for lateraling in banking. recruiting was somewhat live during Sept-Oct but then starting to drop off now for holidays, hopefully new year kicks off
