Lee Equity Partners: Culture? Compensation? Exit opps to B-School?

This is Thomas Lee's new fund in New York. Anyone know anything about it? Culture? Compensation? Exit opps to B-School? They've brought on some heavy hitters in senior management and advisors (ex ceo of NBC, head of mercer consulting, etc.)

They have been actively recruiting for the last couple weeks. Below is an email I received about the Associate opportunity. I know two of their Associates are headed to bschool this Fall - both going to HBS.

Lee Equity Partners is looking for pre-MBA professionals with entry level experience in leading Consulting or Investment Banking firms to join their office in New York City. Positions are available with Fall 2008 or Fall 2009 start dates.

Lee Equity Partners is a multi-billion dollar leveraged buyout fund that focuses on growth investments across several industry sectors. The firm is led by Thomas H. Lee, a pioneer of the private equity industry, who led buyouts of companies such as Snapple, GNC, Simmons Bedding, and Warner Music, among numerous others. Other senior members of Lee Equity include former partners of Bain Capital who led notable acquisitions of Toys R Us, Domino’s Pizza, and AMC Entertainment; Allen Questrom, the former CEO of Federated Department Stores, Barney’s, JC Penney, and Neiman-Marcus; Bob Wright, the former CEO of NBC Universal and Vice-Chairman of General Electric; and David Morrison, the former President and CEO of Mercer Management Consulting

The pre-MBA position represents a unique opportunity with several benefits:

(1) Close interaction with senior professionals including Thomas H. Lee (2) Entrepreneurial setting and flat hierarchy (3) Close apprenticeship training and mentoring in a small team environment (4) Opportunity to join a high-profile, growing fund

Please submit resumes, as well as any questions you may have, to Diana Heintz at [email protected]

has anyone interviewed with these guys recently? Any insight as to the process at this firm would be appreciated, as I have an interview coming up. Also, since they don't have a website, can someone suggest a good place to get some info on them? Thanks again!

Bumping this thread...it's been a few years. Anyone with any insight into culture / work hours / comp here?
