Doesn’t matter who that is going to be. I am just asking recommendations on the legal firms.
Assuming this isn't a troll, you're probably not going to find a national firm who would do this outside of the odd maverick partner here and there. Your best bet would be local firms or going to the press. I wouldn't expect to win.
EDIT:
If you are aware of fraud against the government by a portfolio company, you are looking for firms with whistleblower practices. Again, these will probably be local although I think some larger firms may pursue such claims. Unlikely that a suit to pierce the veil would succeed (see, e.g., the FTC failing to pierce the veil on WCAS' anesthesia business earlier this year).
Is ACLU a good starting point? Lambda Legal? DOJ? Should Steven Kohn be called?
