LMM is very slow rn
At a LMM firm and very busy right now. Have 5 processes that are at the term sheet or confirmatory diligence level. We are less operationally focused and tend to bring in an operator to handle the day-to-day, so able to underwrite more at once.
Bump
It’s not unusual for LMM firms to acquire 10-25 companies in the first half of the year, but it really depends on the firm’s strategy and market conditions. Some firms focus on high-volume deals, while others may only do a few deals each year but with larger or more strategic targets. The number you’re seeing is fairly typical for firms that prioritize volume and are actively seeking to expand their portfolios.
