London EB to HK PE

Currently AN1 at an EB in London thinking of moving back to HK for family reasons. Has anyone else ever done a move like this? I am a native Mandarin speaker fwiw. Interested in:

1: Which funds are still operational in HK? Seems like SLP and Bain are still on the Island but who else? Is Mainland really what is left if I want MFPE in that region?

2: Who are the main headhunters and how does one get on their radar?

1. BX REPE, EQT/BPEA, TA Associates come to mind, without going into any Chinese / Pan-Asia names

2. HH will reach out if you're in HK IB/PE, some funds will only look at top 3-4 IB groups for the vertical they hire (TMT/Consumer/RE etc.)

Openings are very sparse and unstructured right now at global funds. I'd suggest reaching out directly to your friends or anyone working there, to get a sense of how they're thinking of hiring / firing & headcount over the next 1-2 years
