Anyone have any thoughts on Lynx? PE shop out of Toronto- they look like they’d be large in size based on headcount but what they advertise is more LMM?

Headcount can be deceptive for these kinds of firms. The team doesn’t have traditional backgrounds from IB, so off the bat the base salary isn’t going to be very high. They also likely are doing actual work at the portfolio companies, so I’d suspect they would be more in line with corporate development salaries at small firms, definitely not in the ballpark of MM PE.
I also don’t think Lynx has an actual fund structure, I think it’s SPVs or maybe something like that. Regardless, I’d be shocked if AUM was more than a couple hundred million
