MBA PE Recruiting

Just wondering if anyone has any color on how PE recruiting is for a post-MBA role?

For context, working in PE right now (was at a BB before) but not at an UMM/MF and know that a lot of M7 and particularly HSW are from MF / UMM and that there are more demand than supply when it comes to post-MBA roles.

Given it's a big investment, I wanted to see what people's thoughts are if it's worth the investment from a recruiting standpoint. I can't really get conviction around spending 300K if there's a non-trivial chance I can't get one of those coveted post-MBA PE roles. Is it really hard to get any post-MBA role or does anyone have any color on how that landscape stacks up? (like if you went to BB and then a MM / LMM, do you still have a chance at getting a role post-MBA?

If anyone has any detail on past MBA recruiting classes and how they've fared, that'd be much appreciated as well!
