MF PE in Continental Europe

Strong analyst in a good team at GS/MS/JPM in London, originally from continental Europe and looking to (at some point) go back to my home country and do large cap PE.

Does anyone have any info about comp / recruiting process / different headhunters for continental Europe...etc or anything in general about the European (non-London) offices of MF or UMM PE funds? i.e., Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Paris...etc

Are the headhunters for KKR, CVC, Cinven... in London the same as for other cities?

Is there any possibility of internal mobility (i.e., 2 years in London and then transfer to another European office)

Any input would be super helpful!

Back at uni I attended a presentation by PER and saw their client list and it definitely included top names in the continental European PE space. Could've changed since then and no idea whether those mandates were exclusive. Would definitely appreciate some insights from this guy

What country are you interested in? I assume you won‘t be looking at all the ones you list.

Also, when you make your choice you should consider that not all of the large funds you reference have a strong continental presence. Advent, Cinven, CVC, EQT, Permira for example have large German offices and can operate fully independent on deals (and most of them are contributing very successfully to fund returns), while the likes of KKR / Bain Cap / Carlyle in Germany are mainly small satellite offices.
