Mosaic . PE anyone use? Or any automated under writing

Main question; Does anyone use Mosaic.PE, they claim their clients manage north of 500bn and give quotes (possibly fake) from folks at MFs or UMMs.

Before I get on with a sales person and want to rip my eyes out figured I’d ask here. And if anyone is using any other software based modeling tool to assist please let me know.

The problem I’m trying to solve for-

the shop I am at is very lean, 6 analysts , 2 associates, 4 senior associates, 3 vps, I’m only principal, and there are 12 MDs.

Our ceo is obsessed with data and would like every deal re underwritten real time , ie every week we get 13 week CFs , new actual monthly financials, every new budget or projection post board meeting. Or any similar transaction / comp we get in the marketplace. And have real time views into our value creation plans and effectiveness. As well as material change in projected outcomes and if we should intervene early.

This is basically impossible w/ the lean staff, and to get it into a real time presentation format after updating 75 excel models also is tough, the second I send a deck it’s no longer current.

Ah, the classic conundrum of trying to keep up with real-time data in a lean team. I feel your pain, my friend.

As for Mosaic.PE, I can't speak to it directly as it's not mentioned in the WSO content I have access to. However, I can tell you that many firms are turning to software solutions to help manage the heavy lifting of data analysis and financial modeling.

The key is to find a tool that can automate as much of the process as possible, while still allowing for the flexibility and customization that your specific deals require. It should also have robust reporting and visualization capabilities, so you can easily share insights with your team and make data-driven decisions quickly.

As for your CEO's desire for real-time re-underwriting, that's a tall order, but not impossible with the right tools. You might need to look into more advanced data analytics platforms that can handle real-time data processing and predictive modeling.

Remember, the goal is not to replace your team's expertise, but to augment it with technology. The human element is still crucial in interpreting the data and making strategic decisions.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions, feel free to ask.
