Moving from generalist PE to industry specific
I wanted to get perspectives on the commonality of transitioning from a generalist associate role to an industry-specific role. I think there are valuable and better learning opportunities when you are exposed to many different industries and transactions. However, I was curious if it is possible to move into an industry-specific position after starting your career as a generalist (e.g. moving from generalist to technology).
