My Experience At Caprae Capital

I joined Caprae Capital around 3 months ago, and it has been quite the journey. During the first couple of weeks, I was given the role of generating leads and fulfilling cold calls. While this wasn't the most enjoyable or intensive start, it was key in showing my commitment and quality of work to build trust and gain promotion.

Soon after, I was promoted to the QA management team due to my high KPIs, where, instead of generating leads, I was given the task of analysing other interns' leads and assigning a grade to each based on the quality of the lead. Near the same time of my promotion to the QA team, I was handed the opportunity to carry out a buy-side paper for a client. This involved working with a research partner, and receiving a grade and feedback. Following this, I was handed more work for papers on the sell side, and also worked on the wealth management side. Where I was tasked with finding potential industries for the firm to invest in.

Overall, Caprae provides a really good opportunity to gain hands-on PE experience, especially as an intern. The mentality at the firm is driven by growth, and the hierarchy has no problem allowing interns to work on live client deals.
