New Addition to WSO Private Equity Interview Course - Deal Sheets with Audio

Hey Monkeys, with PE recruiting right around the corner (I've heard some of you are already getting reached out to by recruiters!!!) the team and I have been thinking of ways to help you better prepare and stand out from the rest of the pack.

How Are Private Equity Candidates REALLY evaluated?

After speaking with our private equity mentors, we all agreed that one of the most important skills to develop in order to ace your PE interviews is discussing your transactions and really being able to dive into the details as an investor would.

Even though there is a lot of fear around the LBO modeling tests (and our course does an awesome job prepping you for those), I'd argue that being able to speak intelligently about your deals is even more important. If you were only an intern and just started FT, this could mean being able to speak intelligently about "potential deals" and/or pitches you worked on LAST summer since recruiting is happening now before any deals can really be completed...yes, this is the crazy world we live in.

Deal Sheet Template Plus Audio from PE Professionals

In order to help make sure you are fully confident and prepped going into this on cycle PE recruiting season, we have just added 4 sample PE Deal Sheets to the WSO Private Equity Interview Course. These are templates of transactions that our PE mentors had to speak about before they broke into PE. MORE COMING EACH WEEK!

Each deal is broken down using the WSO Deal template to show you the most important aspects of your deals and how to speak to each of them in a clear and organized way.

Short Audio Sample from Deal Sheet Summary

Each template also comes with an audio recording (~20-40min) where the PE professional talks about their deal in the context of a private equity interview, so that you can help frame your own responses in a similar fashion.

From there, we included a word doc of a blank template, so you can use this format to break out your own deals and be able to explain them clearly.

Hope my fellow primates find this helpful! You know I'm always open to feedback and advice! Good luck in any upcoming interviews.

Talk soon,
Patrick
