I understand it to be effectively mid-market Veritas (founders from Veritas/HIG) in strategy and culture, with none of the perks. What this means:

  • Focus on regulated industries. Value-oriented. Hairy deals. Tons of add-ons
  • Lights out performance
  • Below market comp, extremely sweaty, very unclear path to promotion

Just look at the amount of add-ons and platforms relative to junior and mid-levels IP's. And from what I know personally, those guys get grinded. They're practically begging to hire more people as they are way way understaffed right now.
