On-Cycle when you cannot get time off to interview

Any advice on recruiting on-cycle when your group is not supportive of analysts recruiting? Especially from a consulting background, seems like a lot of groups will not let you get time off for on-cycle, but PEs expect you to be able to drop everything

You have to ask for forgiveness and not permission in this situation... oncycle does not have flexibility. This is a pretty decent time to "catch covid really badly, will be out sick at least today and likely tomorrow as well". Everyone knows where you really are, but if they are not supportive they're doing it to themselves

If you have been at your firm for a year there is a lot more forgiveness to be had for a missed day or two anyway

What if I havent had touch points with firms or head hunters - am I out of luck for this cycle? How do I position myself if I am ready technical and behavioral wise? just was stalling meeting with the HH / firms until was back from vacation.
