PE Biz Dev Exit Opps
Any thoughts on what opportunities exist after this type of role? Does having private equity on my resume in general, regardless of the role, give me an upside? What about for MBA admissions? This is a non-coastal LMM fund.
I'm from a non-target and never did IB so my bar for success is way lower than some IP at a megafund. I therefore have way less room to be picky and generally just try to be grateful that this type of opportunity is even given to me while my friends work in basic corporate America. Keep that in mind, please.
BD is the exit opp, homie.
It sounds like this is true for folks who were previously on the deal team. What if I have no real investing experience? Just don't want to pigeon hole myself...
BD is a pretty good pigeon hole to be in all things considered lol
Agreed, I've enjoyed the BD work I've done so far and could see getting far in it. Last question: any clue how it looks for MBA applications? Does it rival deal team in getting top looks?
Generally no. And brand means more than function.
Other BD roles or investor relations would be the most natural progression
Does this include BD in other industries such as tech?
