PE internships sophmore summer
been scrolling online to see a lot of students from targets and nontargets get sophomore summer internships @ pe firms like Ares KKR and Apollo even before getting ib internships.
just wondering how (bc i assumed pe came either after 2 years in ib or a prestigious summer internship in ib)?
Diversity (GWI/SEO) or Nepotism. It's out of reach for anyone who doesn't fit those categories, even if u go to Harvard.
id assume theres more to it tho (i mean not all candidates are DEI/nepo)
There's nothing more to it lol, every MF PE sophomore intern you see is either diversity or nepotism. MFs don't even post public sophomore summer applications, it's only offered through diversity-specific programs or pipelines. You don't need a crazy sophomore internship to land a great junior summer internship, a boutique IB or MM PE soph internship is more than enough.
