There's nothing more to it lol, every MF PE sophomore intern you see is either diversity or nepotism. MFs don't even post public sophomore summer applications, it's only offered through diversity-specific programs or pipelines. You don't need a crazy sophomore internship to land a great junior summer internship, a boutique IB or MM PE soph internship is more than enough.
