Anyone here have experience with this? I know its not the traditional route, but are there any benefits to it?

Depends on the firm, but you establish solid relationships with investment banks and other PE funds. At some funds, you get to travel and rack up airline miles and hotel points while wining and dining. Others rely on calls/emails from the home location and are stingy.

If it's the latter, it may get old. If it's the former, sign me up.

Generally, you are simply sourcing deals and will hand off anything that fits the firm's criteria to associates or VPs to vet.
