PE Post-MBA Recruiting Question
International MBA student in an M7 Business School. I got a summer internship offer in a PE fund in the US with +20bn AUM (last fund +4bn). However, the fund typically does not give full-time offers after finishing the summer internship. I have previous experience in banking (no US experience). This summer internship is my first investing role.
My question: Would this summer internship be "enough" to get a full-time PE position in the US after graduation?

Likely no. esp in this market.
Agreed will be really tough. Having a summer experience is better than nothing but post MBA recruiting is still quite difficult for folks with multi year pre school experience. Not viewed the same given the short tenure
