PE to entrepreneurship
I am considering leaving PE (2nd year MF Asc) to start a company. Has anyone done this? Do you regret it?

I did it. Regret will depend on your motivations for starting. Is it because you have a deep burning desire to be an entrepreneur and couldn’t imagine an alternative path? Or are you just frustrated with your current seat? It’s not an ideal path if your motivation is the latter.
I like this ^ - would be good to hear how your venture went/is going. Anything you’ve particularly enjoyed as a founder, and anything you miss from PE? Best of luck.
I don’t see myself in my current seat long term but I think investing broadly is interesting and could see myself content in the future. But yes I do feel an itch to “build my vision” so to speak . I just know it will be super tough to break back in if it does fail and not sure I’d be happy in a corporate job
