Picking industey group as an MM PE associate

Starting as an MM PE associate soon, which industry group should I take? And does it matter?

I have a TMT IB background but am flexible and unsure of what industry I'll do long term. Tech PE has been hot but unsure if it will remain as attractive. Plus, this PE shop doesn't seem to be particularly strong in tech

Things I've considered are deal sizes, # of deals done, and exits from each of the industry groups but there isn't much info out there other on lifestyle or exits

Longer term goals are to either stay in PE (maybe switch to a larger shop either as Sr. Associate or VP via MBA)
