Preparing for potential REPE intwerview
Hey guys,
I have an opportunity to get my foot in the door at a well respected REPE shop. They have asked me to send over my materials, mainly a resume and why I would be a good fit at xyz firm. I am thinking about also sending them a pitch, maybe on a company or a space in real estate they should invest in. I really just want to show them I can think like an investor. Any thoughts or advice on how i should go about this ? Thanks!

You'd probably be better served putting this on the RE forum.
There are stark differences between traditional PE and REPE.
As part of a REPE you would (most likely) be investing as an LP in hard real estate assets.
I don't know much about real estate private equity, I just want to break into the firm essentially and this is my best shot
I'm in REPE. I wouldn't send them anything if you "don't know much" about the space as this could backfire... Hone your resume and focus on financial modeling and due diligence experience. You will definitely get asked "why real estate?" so prepare accordingly.
