There is a older thread about this so I thought I would make an updated discussion given the advancement of the secondaries space

VP2 (now a VP3)
NY
Total comp $560 (i.e. this is for 2025)
Fundsize: $6-12B
Carry across funds ~$3.5m (I have carry across multiple vehicles, largest carry in a fund is $2m)
Should be getting another $2-3m in fund we are raising now (should be coming out in the next couple months or so), since I am a bit more senior when I got my previous carry grants (bulk of carry was granted 2 years ago, but I have gotten small bits in other vehicles across the firm since then)
Honestly feel a bit underpaid in both cash / carry (given our AUM), but I like my seat overall
hours: generally leave by 6-7 during the week. Only work on weekends if I am going to IC or am super backed up.
Thanks! I am a bit new in the space, could you walk me through how that carry is expected to pay out over the life of the fund? and if you have any insights on some of the CT secondaries players?
