Signs someone is being managed out

Can anyone share what are some less obvious signs besides apparent ones (e.g. bad reviews, clear messaging) that a fund is trying to manage someone out before promotion to mid-level position?

“Julius was extremely helpful in breaking down the accounting concepts, especially allowing me the opportunity to walk through a question step by step on how the three financial statements are impacted across income, cash flow and balance sheet along with figuring out the mental math for it all. The concept for Equity Value to Enterprise value and bridging between the two were fairly straight forward. Along with the networking advice on reaching out to potential recruiters for Investment banking roles and how lateral recruitement is happening year end vs going into Q1 next year.”

Here's a random list that is a bit more tangible than just a vibe or weird social treatment. I've never experienced this but just rattling off ideas:

Receiving poor staffings
Seeing interesting staffings / attractive deals get assigned to other peers
Being actively removed from attractive deals and/or additional peer-level resources added to augment
Limited mentorship/lunches/outreach and/or vague feedback (because they don't want to be the one to tell you that it isn't working)
Limited discussion of your progression / next role at the firm / opacity on timeline (further confirmed if peers/cohort seem to have more clarity or defined path)
