Sophomore PE Internship

Does anyone know details about the firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson ? What is their reputation? How would a internship from a middle market PE firm like VSS set me up for IB recruiting in the fall? How does this internship compare to a boutique IB internship?

Just my opinion, but I'd make the decision between VSS and a boutique IB on one factor: which firm is more likely to give you a return offer for next summer (after your junior year). Trust me, there is nothing better to have while going through IB recruiting than a return offer as a backup plan, more for peace of mind than anything else

VSS is definitely considered one of the better mid-market funds. i think they have a main PE fund as well as a mezz fund. don't think they have been as active in recent years but they've historically been considered very strong in media/telecom.
