Special Sits in Canada?

Just curious if there are any firms in Canada that do special sits investing, like acquiring music royalties or offering financing to distressed companies. Hope I didn't misclassify this style of investing, just assumed special sits would be equivalent to the catch-all approach to investing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I understand CPP Strategic Capital does something similar, but I am curious if there are any others.

Just to correct, CPP Strategic Credit does asset backed credit investments, which would include music royalties (but doesn't). These are however not considered part of Special Sits style investing. CPP also does have a Special Sits team but it's much smaller and not really a proper team, just falls under the umbrella of a credit team.

This is true. I have recently interacted with the CPP special sits team: seems like the smart people have departed to other shops on the street. The skeleton team that remains is not very impressive in my opinion.
