Stripes Group

Anyone have any information on the associate role at Stripes (NY), specifically the consumer team? Curious about day to day, culture, comp, exits, etc. Guessing transitioning to buyout after would be off the table?

What is with people these days. If you want to go to a buyout firm, recruit for traditional PE. Otherwise, take the growth equity role at a firm like Stripes, but don’t go into the role with the hope of switching, especially right now. Growth and buyout may be similar but the junior level roles couldn’t be more different in terms of actual day to day work. At best, you could maybe lateral to a buyout firm but would be repeating 2 years as an analyst or associate at any reputable firm.
