Superday - What does HR mean???

Hey y'all! I had a superday (diversity) with a buy-side firm (Ares/BX/Carlyle/KKR) last week and never heard back. HR shared last week that the team is meeting candidates this week and won't be able to make decisions before wrapping up all interviews. After reaching out early this week, HR said they're still waiting for updates from the team but will let me know when she hears back. Should I assume I was rejected/ waitlisted? Not sure how to interpret the message bc it's taking forever.

Did a superday with Ares credit a couple weeks ago and haven't heard back either.

Yeah I wasn't expecting much, flubbed most of the technicals. Thanks for confirming though, didn't wanna be left hanging.

Hi wang, I have an exploding offer and was told the same thing about them not hearing from the team and my superday was 1.5 weeks ago and I was quite confused how they could be so out of touch. I'm guessing they're stalling and we're waitlisted but we'll see.

I assume this is for analyst recruiting (not associate recruiting). You may have heard that on-cycle recruiting for associates popped out of nowhere this week for everyone. I’d listen to the folks that are more plugged in to this process / have heard of offers being given out, but wondering if on-cycle associate recruiting became a priority since this last week was such an whirlwind of a disaster; wonder if they really just haven’t had time to wrap up analyst recruiting. Also think them waiting to hear whether candidates accept their offers before notifying the “waitlist” is a possibility.
