T2 Mgmt Consultant to MM PE... What're interviews like?

Hello all,

I'm entering into a non-MBB consulting firm (think DD heavy shop like LEK/Parthenon) this year and hoping to prep for MM PE recruiting. I've spent a some time on this subject and know that megafunds aren't going to happen. I'm comfortable aiming for middle market and am trying to figure out what to do in the month I have off before I start on the job. I couldn't find any specific articles that said what to prep for consultants being recruited... as I'll have no 'deals' to speak of and won't have on the job modelling experience.

I have no finance experience, so I'm hoping to use this time to get some modelling experience down. Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be expected of me for MM PE recruiting given my non-IB background? I've started with a friend's Wall Street Prep guide and am familiarizing myself with the basics but is this the best use of my time?

Relevant background: Tier 1 level undergrad, MM PE internship (good on resume, learned nothing on the job). No other finance experience.

Please ask any questions you might have to help get a sense of what I'm aiming to achieve. Thanks all.
