What I heard from ppl went through Temasek recruiting last year:
- Temasek US team only takes about 4 ppl per year.
2 ny, 2 sf, rigorous process

When you say heavily on fit, could you expand a little on that? With their values/company culture or technical skills required of the role? Did you network with current employees there?
