Thoughts on getting the Business Analyst Certification & the CPA?

Hello,
Any thoughts would help!

Note:

  • The CBV designation is the Canadian version of the American (iiBV) Business Analyst Certification.

I'm looking into getting a CPA and/or the CBV certification.

My goal: To go on to acquire businesses and/or properties.

My reason for thinking on taking the exams (CPA, & CBV) is so that I can be more knowledgable about the space.
My education thus far:
Bachelors in Business

2 seperate financial Modelling courses (one for REITs and one for general private equity).

Huh? Literally have no idea what any of those certifications are other than CPA… which btw is completely useless unless you’re trying to be an accountant. You might as well get CPR-certified while you’re at it.

No certification is going to help you “acquire businesses/property”. Go out and try to put deals together, that’s the way.
