TN visa for PE
Has any Canadians tried getting a TN visa for PE roles recently? How has the process been? Is that a hurdle for recruiters?

Shockingly really easy, PE firm set me up with a law firm that expedited my App (albeit paid 5k), and I was set on my merry way. I wouldn't worry too much but make sure to stay close to the process.

I've no issues with ~2 or 3 TN visas. Not related to PE though. Just FWIW.
If you have $ already, its only like ~$3000 - $5000 to have a law firm help with it.

What classification are you guys going in under for PE? Management Consultant?
Was relatively straightforward, they’ll set you up with their immigration lawyers (my firm covered the fee). I went as an Economist; have an BA in Economics so it helped with my case.
Piling on… went as a TN Economist, also had an economics degree which helped make the process easy. Firm paid for immigration lawyers (Fragomen) + premium processing. RE: recruiting generally, it was not an issue for any of the funds I targeted (UMM / MF).
Question for everyone - did your firm apply in advance, or did you apply for the TN directly at the border?
always apply in advance, you get asked less questions.
also make sure to schedule your interview at the border and not just walk in.
the goal is to annoy the border officers the least and you'll be fine
