Unclear expectations on deliverables?
Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing the same?
I work in REPE and had to analyse the room pricing strategy for a hotel.
Boss/VP told me to just layout the data by room type, price per room night, and etc.
Was told it shouldn't take an hour, so I prepared laid out the data cleanly and put it on PPT.
When it was time to review, I got fucked cause apparently I didn't have a dynamic revenue build where they can easily toggle the assumptions etc and because of that, we couldn't present to IC.
Is it wrong that I didn't think ahead and prepare a full blown revenue build (esp in under an hour)?
Genuinely curious to know if I have shit initiative or boss has unrealistic expectations since this happens a lot with my deliverables, i.e., I get scolded for not doing more than I was asked to do even if I already clarified the scope of work and deadline.
