Controversial

Bain should be higher. Currently at a competitor, and idk why folks on this site for some reason keep clumping them together with Carlyle. Bain PE has had “average” MF returns, not below average, but a lot of their other strategies have done extremely well (life sciences, special sits, credit). Add in the fact that it’s a private partnership and has better culture than 90% of MF. As an overall org, they should be much higher on this list.

 

This is so juvenile it reminds me of arguing in elementary school at lunch about who is the fastest
