Talked with a senior associate there about 2 years ago. I believe they do more buyout stuff but can’t remember for sure. Less sourcing apparently is done there. I was told that associate made i think around 300-350k bu I think it was after 1-2 years of being there.

Can anyone provide color here? Really interested but haven't found much on the internet on process, headhunters, etc.

Run by Antonio Gracias, who is super close with Elon Musk and was pretty involved in DOGE. They basically invest a ton in every Elon venture and are very involved in operations at those companies.

Valor is very active in growth equity but anecdotally their name doesn't come up as often as the other marquee growth equity players. Nonetheless, still a great platform and as another poster mentioned, the founder is pretty close with Elon.

Associate program is a little unique where they aren't as focused on sourcing since their senior team is good at maintaining relationships and bringing in new opportunities to evaluate. Most growth equity shops would require you to be very involved in sourcing on day one.

Not sure who they use today but would see CarterPierce run their recruiting for the NY office. Frankly would see their openings pretty frequently so not sure if it was because they were expanding rapidly, struggling to find candidates, or experiencing a lot of junior turnover. I would tend to avoid if it's due to turnover, growth equity is generally a less intense and demanding job than your typical buyout job.

anyone with insight on wlb and culture in (NYC / CHI). would love to hear from current employees or past if possible
