What’s the word on Veritas? Seems like there’s momentum with the $13bn fund raise. Is there really no upward mobility there and does WLB improve at the mid-levels?

No upward mobility because Ramzi takes a huge chunk of the carry, and no wlb because Ramzi is a micro-managing control freak.
Looks like people have moved up the ranks there though and with consistently larger fundraises, shouldn't there be opportunity? Can you define "no" WLB? Hard pressed to find any MF/UMM that doesn't work extremely hard.

Absolutely elite returns and growth, whilst also being absolutely elite in being sweaty. Great place to start your career and continue it if you're one of the few who get the promotions. Absolutely untrue, no upward mobility, know people that have gotten promoted up to VP. The real problem is getting the principal and partners promoted, but that's the norm at most of the 10Bn+ PE firms. I think the assumption for a lot of the larger cap firms is that you go in for 2 years (if not good enough for promotion and/or do an MBA) and 4-6 years if really good/get the associate promotion, and then leave to other things.
