What Amount of AUM is good for PE internships?
"What range of AUM at a private equity firm I’m interning at would be considered impressive to recruiters at bulge bracket or elite boutique investment banks?
I mean, obviously BX is more impressive than a random ultra-LMM with 5 people, but the pot of available sophomore PE internships tilts HEAVILY towards the latter.
I'd say $1B+ AUM is when the LMM firms start to become more legitimate

There's no bar of "good enough". An ultra-LMM isn't going to knock anyone's socks off, but that's also just about the only firms that are hiring 18 year olds... stack that with another internship elsewhere by the time you're recruiting and you start to become interesting to firms.
