What are the most manual tasks in MM/LMM PE?

I’m a founder doing early research into tools for the private equity space, particularly focused on middle and lower middle market firms.

For those working in PE, I’d love your perspective:
What are the most frustrating, repetitive, or manual workflows in your day-to-day?
Think sourcing, due diligence, reporting, portfolio monitoring, LP updates, etc.

Are there things junior team members spend hours on that should be automated?
Or pain points that are specific to MM / LMM firms compared to larger funds?

My background is in IB, and I am trying to get smarter on operational gaps on the buy-side. Appreciate any insights!
