What ever happened to 3G?
7-10 years ago, this place had a sexy aura about it. Owned really big-name brands, put young (like, very young) investment professionals into CFO/CEO spots, were seen as kinda cutthroat killers when it comes to cost cuts and improvements, appeared to have a ton of capital. But you don't really hear of people exiting here or coveting exits here. What happened?
Maybe their genius strategy was shitty is my guess. Kraft is now saying the zero based budgeting crap was the reason why no one wants to buy their product and was mistake. All those young "execs" seem to have floundered. Also 3G was mostly one guy's money for a while I think, so they didn't even do many deals.

Did they really? I remember recruiting for PE 8 years ago and they werent even that high on anyone’s list back then
Maybe Kraft Heinz and AB InBev killed them? Both huge deals that were probably 25 years too late for the party.
hedge fund group with $1B ended up closing shop too.
They just were on an Invest Like the Best podcast. Pretty interesting listen.
