What is the best path? (AM, WM, PE, IB)

Hey, so I was recently made aware that there is limited mobility for this program I am a part of, which I was planning to use to compete for Investment Banking at a T1 Bulge Bracket (BB). My options, now, are the following:

- Multi-asset solutions within the asset management division of the BB (potentially portfolio management long term)

- Private Banking (wealth man) at the BB

- Apply to Private Equity at Apollo, Ares, or Oaktree (available because of program)(could I track into IB full-time if I did one of these?)(IB/PE long term)

- Apply externally to IB at the BB (two years then PE long term)

For context, I am a rising junior URM with a philosophy major and a mid 3.9x gpa. I could likely compete reasonably for each of these, I rank my chances at around 65% for the bottom two and 100% for the top two. I am also considering law long-term. Thoughts?

How on earth is a philosophy major a good candidate for positions like this? Fuck diversity hiring.
