Which funds still mandate suit and tie

Title. Which funds still mandates suit & tie every day. I know Brookfield still does but heard BX and CD&R (still need confirmation for this one) have loosen it up a bit. Which other firms still mandate their associates to come in with tie?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, the trend in office dress codes has shifted significantly over the years. While some firms have relaxed their dress codes, there are still places where formal attire, including suits and ties, is expected. Here are some insights:

  • Brookfield: It is mentioned that Brookfield still mandates a suit and tie.
  • Blackstone (BX) and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R): There are indications that these firms have loosened their dress codes, but confirmation is needed.

For more specific and up-to-date information, it would be best to check recent discussions or directly inquire within the firms. The general trend, however, is towards more casual dress codes, even in traditionally formal environments.

CD&R went from suit & ties Mon-Fri pre Covid to shirt / no tie / boxershorts during Covid to shirt (some people work-suitable pullover with 'collar') / no tie / suit pants since. No ties in mgmt meetings, the only time I regularly see ties being worn is when meeting LPs / investor events.

As someone on the LP side I always find it weird when managers wear a suit and tie for a small group LP meeting (I semi get for annual meetings and what not). I couldn't care less what you're wearing.
