working with HH that placed you at current job
Hey WSO. I’m currently at a PE firm that uses HSP for recruiting; I also worked with them to get this job.
However I am looking to lateral out and wondering if anyone knows whether they will agree to speak with me and help me recruit, or if they are bound by some contract at their firm.
For context, the offer letter for my current role was very specific in saying this is a 2 year contract, and I am now on my 2nd year. The fund is having a lot of fundraising issues as well so a lot of uncertainty around whether anyone is getting promoted.
thank you
Generally need explicit permission from the firm.
Firm will need to tell the HH you are released. If you are openly recruiting with your firm's blessing they will work with you, but they will not do anything behind your firm's back. They do not care what the offer letter says
In London, you are allowed to engage with the HH who placed you as long as you reach out to them, not the other way around
