Any one have any experience working at a firm that wasn’t able to raise a new fund and started to wind down? What were the initial signs?
Starting at a fund that raised capital in 2016/2017 and for all intents and purposes is fully deployed with the final investment closing last month. The track record on the latest fund is decent, especially if you exclude some investments from a prior strategy that is no longer being followed. Curious to know signs that the fund is going to be wound down despite MDs / partners messaging to the junior team that we will raise a subsequent fund and continuing to hire new associates?
