JLL Investment Banking Analyst Excel/Argus Test
I'm a college senior looking to land a real estate analyst role after graduation. I've been speaking to the real estate investment banking team at JLL in New York, who advise on capital markets/portfolio sales. They say a next step for the analyst hiring process is a written/Excel/Argus test before the final round interviews.
I have prior internship experience at a major NYC real estate firm (CBRE, JLL, C&W) on a brokerage team, and at a $50B+ real estate investment manager where I used Argus and edited models. My school's real estate program also has me working on a property valuation project that has me creating DCF reports and creating Argus files.
Does anyone have insight on what types of calculations or modeling I can expect in a test from JLL? They mentioned a combination of written, Excel, and Argus testing. If anyone with knowledge of the usual material that would be super helpful.
Hey Realzstates96, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
Don't have inside knowledge as I'm in the same boat but I pm'd you
Have a test coming up tomorrow. Could you share your experience with the test you took?
It's hard af, I hope you are at least intermediate level in Argus and can do most Excel flawlessly. These dudes don't mess around.
