Real Estate Advisory vs analyst

Im a Junior Accounting/Real Estate double major from a target school. I recently accepted an offer for a summer internship at a Big 4 firm in Real Estate Advisory. I know its not the most attractive RE job however I had no prior real estate experience (i decided last semester that I wanted to pursue real estate) so I thought it would be best to accept that offer and not risk being left without a RE internship for the summer. I eventually want to get into Acquisitions. My question is should I apply for full time acquisitions role (interviews are during the internship) or should I focus on securing a full time offer from the Big  4 firm? Also how valuable do you think a Real Estate Advisory internship would be on my resume when applying for these positions? (I also recently got all 3 levels of the REFM certification and a Real Estate Finance and Investments certification)

Thought I would reply as I was in a similar  position this past fall as a senior. I did a corporate banking internship the summer before and it wasn’t real estate related. Recruited successfully and landed at large real estate investment manager/repe. So I would say it’s not super late to do this and you’ll probably be looked upon favorably with that internship.
